We rest upon the gnashing tongue of a fella with a fierce appetite for Italian beef. The patrons at the U-shaped bar look on bored, uninterested, looking as if they’ve given something up in their lives, certainly not alcohol. Their stomachs start to rumble alongside the sounds of gobbling. They are not oblivious to the glistening lips and the meat juices running down his chin, nor the kick off the giardiniera and the way the nose will start to run from those bright pickled vegetables glistening in oil. Add some heat to your life with this print, and always remember, if you’re feeling blue, the answers Au jus.
